Malta Gozo and Comino in maxi sailing yacht

Holiday on a sailing boat, Malta sailing, surfing Malta, Malta beaches, Malta tourism, entertainment Malta, Gozo and Comino.
6 nights, from Sunday morning to Saturday at noon.
Placed at the extreme limit between the Latin and the Arab world, surrounded by a vast expanse of blue, the islands of Malta have always been the land of sailors. Therefore there isn’t a better way to visit them than on board of a sailing boat, during a long summer season that gives you sunshine from April to October. Malta, Gozo and Comino are the new destinations of sailing tourism. We will be able to move freely between the three strips of land, discover its hidden beaches and enjoy fabulous sunrises and sunsets, such as those in front of Dwejra Bay. Not only the sea, the islands were inhabited since immemorial time: the Carthaginians, Phoenicians and Arabs used it as the basis for navigation and the Templars, the Knights of Malta, made them famous throughout the world.

Megaliths, medieval dungeons and buildings, Arab mosques and renaissance cathedrals: the islands of the Republic of Malta are truly an open-air museum. Malta is the main for culture, size and fame. Valletta, its capital, is an unmissable stop that fascinates with its earth colored buildings, in perpetual conflict with the blue of the sky and the sea. Gozo, the second largest island in order of magnitude, as well as being a gem for lovers of the sea thanks to its crystal clear waters, is also important for the historical ruins of Ggantija. Finally Comino and its twin Cominotto, famous for its rock-cut caves, offer a huge variety of marine life that makes them popular not only among divers but also for those who love snorkeling.
Monday: embarking in Valletta and settling into their cabins. Who's been sleeping on board the night before can take their time to have breakfast with calm and wait for the arrival of the others in the group. Briefing about life on board, the galley and the week ahead. We can then go out sailing to 'test' the crew or go visit Mdina, the old capital of the island, a marvel of ocher-colored buildings famous all over the world.
Tuesday: the lazy ones can sleep a few more hours while the others take a place on deck and enjoy the crossing to Gozo. Take a swim in Ramla Bay, a mythological bay on which opens up the cave of Calypso where Ulysses stopped for 7 years and the bright red of the beach dominates at sunset with a statue of the Madonna.
Wednesday: we continue the circumnavigation of Gozo, a few miles separate us from a true spectacle of nature: Dwejra Bay. Two imposing cliffs of stone joined by a rock wall signal, like an ancient totem, the entrance to a beautiful circular bay. A rugged and very charming landscape that transports us to another world. You should really step on the land to admire the grandeur of blue window and the abysmal blue hole where you can dive armed with fins and mask. For the evening we can visit the small fishing village for a dinner of freshly caught fish.
Thursday: after a dip, strictly at the first lights of the morning, we set sail for Comino to see first hand the beauty of the smallest of the islands of Malta, where we will not miss a ritual bath in the famous Blue Lagoon. This spectacular bay with incredibly fine white sand owes its name to the color of the water that ranges from light blue to deep blue, earning the title of most beautiful beach in the archipelago. We are now in the heart of our holiday and the crew is now getting familiar, what do you say if we raise the spirits with a cooking battle? For the night a wonderful starry sky awaits us with the usual midnight swim.
Friday: sailing has no more secrets for our boat group. We can have fun sailing along the indented coastline of Malta up to Popeye's Village. Take it easy: lunch on board and relax, we're close to the most beautiful beaches of the island. In the afternoon we go back at sea towards Paradise Bay, one of the beaches preferred by the young ones because it's perfectly equipped. In the evening we'll go into town and celebrate in the many clubs along the coast.
Saturday: in the morning we head to Cominotto, Comino's younger sister. Let's dive into the sea to swim in the short stretch of sea that divides them, the water here is nothing short of crystal clear and the depths of the sea often does not exceed 3 meters. We have lunch surrounded by colorful rocks and a turquoise sea. When everybody has had their share of sunbathing and swimming we begin the return for the final evening in Valletta. We close the day with a nice dinner with friends and maybe a dance in the streets of Paceville.
Sunday: we let Eolus push us during our last ride, breathing the wind and feeling on the skin the warmth of this magic land. It's time to say goodbye to this boat and to this fascinating land.
